Good afternoon! I hope you’re enjoying this lovely summer day. It’s over 100 degrees here in Georgia and I’m not amused. I need to be on somebody’s beach right now because this is unacceptable lol.
Anyway, today I have Kleancolor Holo Pink. I’m going to be posting all of my Kleancolor holos soon. I swatched Holo Chrome and Holo Orange before my hiatus, but the rest of the pretties deserve some love as well.
Holo Pink has a sheer pink base and scatter rainbow holo glitter. This is one coat of Holo Pink over two coats of OPI Japanese Rose Garden.

The formula was fine and the smell wasn’t as bad as I remember. Kleancolors always make me happy because they are cheap and the range of colors and finishes is great.
Any other Kleancolor fans out there?
Happy painting!

My nail of the day today is OPI Japanese Rose Garden from the OPI Far East Collection. I did a comparison of this shade and a few other shimmery pinks, but this is my first time doing a full mani with it.
Japanese Rose Garden has a pale pink base with fine silver shimmer. It also has just a touch of dustiness to it, which I always love.
Two coats, no topcoat:

Shimmer:

The formula was standard OPI (good OPI, that is); smooth, buttery, and opaque. It’s definitely not my favorite pink, but it’s passable for a quick notd. We’ve all had days where we’re rushing out the door and can’t think of a polish, so we pick up one that’s cute and easy to apply. This one fits the bill.

Wow, it’s been awhile! Long time no see! *waves* I have been insanely busy between work, school, and family stuff and I feel so out of the nail loop! At any rate, I figured I’d dip a toe back in the water with a shade I’d never worn before. This is Cover Girl Mystic Peacock, a discontinued shade I picked up on Ebay. Mystic Peacock has a dark green base with lots of teal shimmer. With a name like Mystic Peacock, you kind of expect a few more colors, but it’s still a nice shade.
Two coats, no topcoat. Indoor lighting:

The formula was a bit on the watery side, as you can probably tell by the patchy spots in the first pic. A third coat would have taken care of that, though. Overall, it’s a great shade. It didn’t wow me, but I’m glad I bought it.

Entourage is from the 2009 Custom Kicks Collection. I don’t remember where I was or what I was doing when this collection was released, but I missed out on some beauties. I picked this up a few months back and I’m glad I did. Entourage is lime green with tonal shimmer. This is two coats, no topcoat:

The formula was ok. It was a little on the thick side, as you can probably tell by my application. With some thinner, it should be just fine.
Next on my list is Custom Kicks, the teal polish with gold shimmer from the collection. I’m lemming that one bad!
Happy painting!

Apparently I won some sort of contest (I think I entered on Facebook?) because this beauty showed up in my mailbox last month. I finally got a chance to swatch it recently. Essie Braziliant is from the Essie Braziliant collection from this summer. Trust me when I say this color is perfect for the season. They really nailed it.
Braziliant is a bright, vivid orange-red with pink, yes pink shimmer. It’s loud and in your face, and with this on your hands, you will definitely not go unnoticed. This is two coats, no topcoat.

Closeup (my camera refused to pick up the pink shimmer):

The formula on this was fine; I had no issues. The color is definitely brilliant, so the name totally fits. I’m not a huge fan of red polishes, and with this being orange-red, I was a little apprehensive about this shade. My fears were unfounded though, because I loved this so much. I can’t wait to try it on my toes.
