Seasons of Growth
2023 was a year of growth and transition for the Nail Noir team.
Take a trip down memory lane with us...
New Year Intentions
In early 2023, we set an intention to expand our metaphysical services, and we hosted our very first tarot circle. This one-time event turned into a regular series and led to several special events throughout the year!
Community was the theme for spring with an uptick in special events. Matty's Mugs shared his master pottery skills at several workshops, and our space was brimming with your beautiful ceramic creations!
In late summer, we elevated the Nail Noir logo with a brand refresh by MicroLine Design.
This seemingly subtle logo update is part of a larger, ongoing brand expansion!
In the fall, our bustling bungalow underwent some big changes! Nail Noir literally leveled up, moving from the lower level to the main floor. This shift provided more space for our growing salon team and allowed new businesses to find a home in the shop.
In late December, owner Noelle Brown welcomed a healthy baby boy. Noelle will return from maternity leave in early February, so be sure to book ahead.

we welcomed 12 workshops,
participated in 9 pop-ups,
and gathered for 2 mediumship galleries.
From pottery classes to astrology circles, we hosted more special events than ever last year. We were honored to hold space for our community and cannot wait to continue our workshop series into the new year!
We were also privileged in 2023 to participate in several pop-ups, bringing tarot and mediumship to our greater community. Most notably, Noelle was a featured reader with our friend Ashley Mullins for Terra Luna at the Overland Park Botanical Gardens.
The Noir Collective
We began 2023 with just 2 shops under one roof, and
finished out December with 6 small businesses in our growing collective!
Silver Fox Barber Shop
Wild Poppy Salon Suite is now nestled in our front room, welcoming guests with their warm and whimsical charm.
Owner Elyse Blum is a skilled stylist, bringing client visions to life with her magical use of color.
KC Barber Co.
KC Barber Co. has transitioned smoothly into their own room on the main level. Owner Nick Brown and barber Sharolyn Adams are known for their family-friendliness, master barber services, and - of course - their beloved shop pup Winston.
Awake to Wild
Awake to Wild Tattoo Shop is now taking appointments in our third level shared studio space! Owner Kelsey Marie is a trained mixed media artist with a particular skill for illustration, a talent that translates into her stunning fine line tattoos.
Sarah Ruth Frey
Sarah Ruth Frey Creative Studio shares the third level space. In addition to offering brand work and web design services, Sarah recently debuted a series of original oil paintings and prints. It is her goal in 2024 to explore and expand her skills as a fine artist!
Last, but certainly not least, the nail team! This year, we prioritized continuing education, and we are so proud of our growing team of skilled nail artists - Jade, Kenzie, Selena, and Noelle. We look forward to expanding our crew in the new year!
A Note from Noelle
Happy New Year!
We want to thank every single one of you for the overwhelming support. We continue to grow, and it's all because of our wonderful community.
We are grateful to be surrounded by such amazing businesses who care about this entire community. If you have any questions about the Noir Collective, please feel free to reach out! And if you haven't already, please visit our website: NailNoir.com.
A warm winter reminder: especially during this dry season, be sure to use our cuticle oils (regularly), lotions, and sweaters! You can shop Nail Noir products online and in-store. We are also excited to introduce Force of Nature, an energizing coffee substitute, to our offerings. Feel free to try a cup, during your next service!
Again, thank you all for the continued support.
